Low on Power and badly wounded the Magi Retreat to Aq'Quallat, where on their return to town they note thet the dwarven engineers have begun improving the towns fortifications, making good progress.

After some days of recuperation, The Town magistrate comes to Raschid with news that a pair of Ruffians have been imprisoned, for thieving and abusing many members of the town, Among their most preposterous outrages are their claims that they are the rulers of these lands and that they will have all flogged who oppose them.

Curious, and noting Nazeems abscence from town, Raschid brings this to the attention of the Magi, who pay their prisoners a vist. After a brief interrogation, the two are proved to be Kelebtani horsemen, Wazir and Firouz and cousins of Methomet. They are released, feted, politely insulted, and taunted into joining the next foray to the Town of Ghouls...

Pronouncements are made in the town asking for likely rascals to join the expedition to gain glory in their lords service. Two step up, and are sworn in to service.

Benin having sworn never again to set foot in the benighted ruin, Methomet, Raschid, Hamar, Djan, Rabaht, Hakim, Wazir and Firouz,The Jannissary, the two sadly unnamed thieves and a pair of troopers for grooms set off.

Shortly after dawn, the two rogues are sent in to recconoitre, and two hours after they go in, the magi sadly conclude that they have fallen foul of the inhabitants.. Once again entering the town on foot, this time through the west gate, on the trail of one of the missiing thieves, they are drawn down a narrow side street, into an imposing building. It proves to be a seat of learning of some sort, but before they can explore too closely they discover it to be a haunt of undead. beset by horrors on all sides, and cut off from Djan, posted as a sentry on the entrance, the fight goes well, until Rabaht is paralysed, and a Lich lord appears. Horror struck by his terrible appearance, the party flee, pursued by the corpse lord. Despeately seeking an exit, suffering terrible blows in the process, with Methomet struck into unconsiousness, the party finally break out and flee for the hills..

Recuperating in Ilmanatun, they venture back, and stalk the Lich lord in his own lair. On their first entering the building a tall figure steps forth in Helm, mail and armed with sword and shield. Unleashing magic they are delighted when it topples to the ground. Closer inspection however revals a clever ploy, a mere zombie, dressed in the same fashion as its master...

A long search of the seminary revals few undead till finally the lichlord, and his last minions step from hiding, and confront the magi. Rabaht and Djan are unmanned by Its awful presence and flee, so Firouz stands his ground to defy it, while raschid blasts all of its followers into flight with Ilmanars power. The magi blast it with magic missiles, whwen from behind, a cry goes up. A Wall of worms has once again cut off escape!

A desperate battle ensues, and finally the horror is slain, whereupon raschis smites off its head, snatches up its corpse and arms, with Hamar, picking up the head as afterthought, and the magi swiftly flee the boiling mass of insects issuing from the worm wall, to make camp outside the town in preparation for another sortie in the morning.
