Chapter Two

 

Hamar, Nazeem and their companion Raschid, Journey to the village of Madinak, Hamar’s Birth village, where they insult a woman who turns out to be the wife of Talmer, Hamar’s boyhood friend, differences settled, they Learn of the peculiar losses from the village granary. Investigating, a nest of magical ants is disturbed, and which through Rashid’s valour Ilmanar’s Grace and discreet application of a barrel of beer and a bucket of water, is overcome. (A small shrine to Ilmanar and Malagak the village spirit Is erected) They are left with a magical mini portal, which they take to Mazanrar lord of Madinak and Lieutenant of the ruler of Bayt’azir.

 

Mazanrar gifts Hamar and Nazeem with virtue, and asks them to investigate the source of the portal linked to the one they have found.

 

Some No’ordani henchmen are recruited in Bayt’azir, and prove useful.

 

Our Heroes journey into the hills where they discover a large nest of robber ants, and with smoke and fire, and some force of magic and arms, subdue and destroy the nest. Finding four other mini portals and a virtuous stone.
